Review, Baltimore Sun, Sunday, July 9:
"Thompson's suggestions to writers...are as practical as those given at the Robert McKee screenwriting seminars."

From the foreword by Michael Hauge:
"As Lights! Camera! Fiction! makes crystal clear, the principles and methods movies and screenplays use to captivate their audiences will be just as powerful when applied to your own fiction."

The book:
"A must have for every writer and would-be writer."
Kathy Carmichael, Dorothy Parker and Rio Award-Winning author

The Online class:
"Wow! This has been hard work, but worth it. As I worked through the (Peeling The Artichoke) worksheet, I could see where the weaknesses in my plot are. This really helped me sort some of I can now integrate it with what I've already got and the book is going to be much stronger."

Various Workshops:
The movie clips were a great way to instruct show don’t tell and I’ve told several people about the workshop and thought about it since then. It didn’t last long enough and seemed rushed. This workshop wasn’t what I expected at all, but it was enlightening and enjoyable and I’d sit through it again without question.

Just wanted MORE.  I’m suggesting this workshop for my local chapter but could you expand it to cover a longer time period. I really, really enjoyed your work shop. You were informative, interesting and entertaining.
Dallas RWA Workshop , 2004

I enjoyed this workshop. Having the points reinforced with the video really elevated the understanding of the concepts.
TARA, Tampa, FL. 2004

This workshop presents concepts in an interesting and easy to relate to way. I think the movie clips are a tremendous help.
